Our Journey to Preserve Our Heritage

Roots & Records is a Digital Heirloom agency created to preserve Black American History. With federal DEI rollbacks, the removal of Black history from school curriculum and the active dismantling of programs at the Smithsonian and National Archives, Black families need a trusted, private space to preserve what NO government agency will protect for us. The government has made its position clear - and Black families across America must answer with action. What you'll be able to do is capture, digitize, storytell about your family through Photos, letters, deeds, and military records. You'll be able to create your digital family tree memory to be passed on for generations to come and becomes a permanent, shareable heirloom that families own forever.

This process can be done as a DIY family project or reach out to one of our dedicated staff members with questions you need to be addressed, DNA testing and other resources will be available to you and should be shared.
